The Jola football team was back in action taking part in the Midlands Regional Finals of the Big Goal tournament alongside businesses from across the Channel.
Nine members of the Jola team travelled to the event to compete in a series of matches raising awareness and support for the Street Soccer Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping vulnerable young people affected by homelessness and social exclusion. The Jola team played four matches throughout the day against strong competition, showing excellent teamwork, commitment and determination during the Midlands Finals.
The Big Goal initiative uses football as a way to engage young people and help them develop confidence, life skills and pathways into education, training and employment. Working alongside clubs across the Premier League and English Football League (EFL), the Street Soccer Foundation has helped transform the lives of thousands of young people across the UK.
As a founding member of the initiative, Jola continues to support the Big Goal and the positive impact it delivers. The tournament provides an opportunity for the Channel community to come together, raise awareness for an important cause and help fund programmes that provide real opportunities for young people who need additional support.
