Recruiting and retaining good people, especially sales people, can be challenging for resellers and suppliers in the channel. Jola created a university placement scheme to train and develop sales people in their sandwich year at university to help solve this problem.

Our first graduate quickly developed strong relationships with his key accounts and was able to help uncover and win sizeable mobile data opportunities. As this worked so well we decided to partner with local universities to create a 12-month programme for business students. We started with Oliver Izard in September last year who has just handed over to Tom Grainger starting his placement this year. The scheme has allowed us to train young sales people, who hopefully in 12 month’s time will be back with us as part of the graduate training scheme.”
