A Jola partner required a connectivity solution for smart ATMs. The advanced ATMs offer a wide range of services beyond a simple cash withdrawal, and they are managed by a third-party service provider, separate from the financial organisation. The ATMs are in Germany, spread across the country. There is scope to scale up globally, where the end user has a presence.
What was the challenge?
The machines must be remotely accessible to allow connectivity issues to be resolved without requiring on-site visits. The solution also needed to be cost-effective, and the end user required full visibility of the SIM estate.
The Jola Solution
The Jola solution included preconfigured 4G/5G intelligent routers that can be accessed remotely. 5GB aggregated MultiNet SIMs were included with an option to back-date Buffer Pools (in-case of software update requirements). The end-user has their own access to Mobile Manager (Jola’s SIM management portal) to monitor data usage, activate new SIMs and troubleshoot.
The Jola partner commented that a flexible approach with the right commercials and roll-out support were the reasons they could beat competition from local, in-country MNOs.
