A Northern based bus operator approached Jola for connectivity solutions across their bus network. Whilst we do not sell directly to the end-user, we were able to create a shortlist of suitable companies from our partner base. The bus network chose Jola partner, Class Networks as their preferred supplier.
The end user needed connectivity solutions for their ticket machines, CCTV cameras and digital mobile radios across their bus network.
The Challenge
Reliable connectivity onboard the vehicles, whilst driving across the county is vital, to ensure payments can be taken and CCTV and digital mobile radios can function. A secure channel is also necessary for accessing CCTV footage remotely as and when required. Full visibility of data is also important, so the bus network can track usage across their SIM estate.
The Jola Solution
Class Networks work exclusively with Jola on mobile data. Utilising our robust transport solution, they offered MultiNetwork SIMs for CCTV cameras and digital mobile radios and single EE M2M SIMs for ticket machines, with private APN capabilities across the estate.
Industrial grade SIM cards are used, to withstand vibration and temperature change inside the vehicles. Twelve month Data Buckets are provided as connectivity usage varies greatly each month and cannot be predicted.
The bus network have access to Mobile Manager, Jola’s online management portal, so they can monitor their usage and manage their SIM estate.
