M2M (Machine to Machine)/ IoT (Internet of Things) technology was created to streamline the way data is collected from devices and incorporated into IT systems, without human intervention. Jola uses ‘industrial grade’ SIM cards. Our rugged SIM cards can operate in more harsh environments and are more resistant to vibration, corrosion, extreme high or low temperatures.

Many of the tariffs described below are also available with public Fixed IPs, as part of a Private APN or as L2TP tariffs.
Monitoring
M2M/IoT SIMs provide real-time usage information and are provisioned (activated, ceased, barred, unbarred) in real-time.
Performance
M2M/IoT SIMs are designed to be always-on and provide consistent performance.
What are the most common M2M/IoT opportunities?
M2M/IoT opportunities are coming from almost all verticals as part of primary and secondary connectivity solutions.
Fixed (static) IP / Private APN / L2TP
In addition to the M2M/IoT SIMs being available with dynamic IP, the majority of our M2M and M2M-IoT SIMs are available as Fixed IP, Private APN, and L2TP.
Jola’s Fixed IP and Private APN traffic transits the Cloudflare international IP network.
Cloudflare DDoS protection secures websites, applications, and entire networks while ensuring the performance of legitimate traffic is not compromised. Cloudflare’s 121 Tbps network blocks an average of 86 billion threats per day, including some of the largest DDoS attacks in history.
How are M2M/IoT SIMs managed?
Mobile Manager is our M2M/IoT SIM management portal, which communicates in real-time with multiple mobile network operators. Mobile Manager handles M2M SIM activations, ceases, suspensions, reports, alerts and bolt-ons and can be used by resellers and their end users to manage large estates of M2M SIMs in multiple devices worldwide.
RoamNet
RoamNet package features the following tariffs: UK3Net/UK4Net (both include a single network in the Republic of Ireland). The RoamNet SIMs have SMS enabled by default.

We offer 3 options providing un-steered access to multiple networks as follows:
- ‘UK3Net’ tariffs give un-steered access to 3 UK networks.
- ‘UK4Net’ tariffs give un-steered access to 4 UK networks.
- The ‘UK/EU/USA’ tariffs give access to 3 x UK networks, 57 x European Networks and 1 x USA network.

Three M2M/IoT Tiered Tariffs (T1 – T9)
Three M2M-IoT and M2M SIMs are designed for devices which require rugged and long-lasting SIMs at home or abroad. Our IoT SIMs are designed for low usage devices such as sensors and physical security. Our M2M SIMs are designed for higher usage SIMs such as tablets, PoS systems and kiosks. Bolt-ons are available for M2M SIMs.
M2M SIMs have different qualities for a variety of industrial uses. They are built with materials that enable them to operate in harsh environmental conditions.
Partners choose the tariff that gives the customer the data allowance they need and the level of cover they require anywhere in the world. These tariffs are grouped in to different tiers starting at T1 (single network cover in the UK and 9 other countries) and go all the way up to T9 (all 4Networks in the UK plus 330 networks globally).

EE Big Data
Extremely competitively priced for those customers that need at least 10GB of UK data. Tariffs of up to 5TB available to satisfy the requirements of the most data-hungry applications.

EE UK
Single network access to EE in the UK.
For new activations that need UK coverage and 10GB or more of data, the Jola EE ‘Big Data’ proposition is very probably the option to choose instead of this option (see above).
It is not possible to tariff change between EE UK or EE UK/EU/USA tariffs and the Jola ‘Big Data’ tariffs.

EE UK/EU/USA
Our EE, multi-network, M2M, roaming SIMs are designed for M2M applications that require roaming connectivity covering the UK, EU and USA. They offer exceptional reliability and coverage and are now easy to manage and inexpensive to buy.

The SIM will also work in Austria, Czech Republic and Switzerland but usage in these countries will incur a surcharge, details of which can be found on our price list. There is a 30-day notice period on these tariffs.
Our M2M – IoT SIMs are available on EE on 1 year and 3 year contract terms.

EE Fixed IP
With years of experience in offering public fixed IPs on SIMs across various operators, Jola provides fixed public IPs (1:1 NAT) on all EE tariffs. This includes EE Big Data UK SIMs with Unlimited* data on 1 month contract terms.
*EE Big Data Fixed IP unlimited tariffs do offer unlimited data. However, the FUP that applies is that if a SIM exceeds 500GB twice in 6 months, it will be barred for the remainder of the month and limited to 500GB thereafter.
KPN M2M/IoT SIMs
Our KPN M2M EU roaming SIMs are designed for applications where it is critical to have an internet connection available 24/7, even in situations where one or more mobile networks become unavailable. These SIM cards are unsteered and have no preferred network. They offer exceptional reliability and coverage and are easy to manage and inexpensive to buy.
We offer three tariffs Standard, Premium and Pay-Per-GB.
Standard
Standard is available on 65 mobile networks in the following 32 countries; Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Premium
Premium is available on 105 mobile networks in the following 35 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Reunion, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Pay-Per-GB
Access to the same network list as our Standard KPN tariffs but a flat rate per GB for those that need lots of cheap data but don’t know how much they will need each month.

eSIM Multi-network Roaming SIMs
Jola is a global IoT MVNO, providing the UK’s first multi-network data eSIM to the channel. You can order multi-network roaming connectivity, delivered via GSMA-compliant, removable or embedded data eSIMs, in Mobile Manager.
We have deployed a UK-based, resilient MVNO mobile core network, with global connectivity to over 450 networks and local connectivity with all four UK mobile networks. UK-based interconnects and breakout ensures the traffic stays in the UK.
Resellers can offer an alternative to lengthy contract lock-ins and save customers the pain of swapping out SIMs. Partners can offer a truly un-steered, multi-network solution that can be re-programmed ‘over the air’ so that the customer is always getting the best technical and commercial solution, whatever happens in the market.
